Two week update

It’s been two weeks! And everything is going really good. I met with the surgeon this morning to get checked out and he said it all looks fabulous. There is still some numbness at the top of the ear, which should go away over time. There’s a little scabbing on the scar behind the ear, which itches like hell. And I have to stay sedentary for another week before I’m cleared to go back to exercising.

I’ve been back at work for a week now. Monday was reaaaallllyyyyy hard and I ended up with a headache so I went home mid-afternoon to rest. Tuesday and on was much better and every day I feel a little bit more like my usual self.

Blowing my nose still tickles way inside my ear.

And I can’t bend over really fast yet.

And I still can’t sleep on my left side/head.

BUT, it’s all good! Wednesday is activation day! Can’t wait 🙂

  1. oh goodness!!! Let me know how activation goes!! I go back to work on monday too, so we will see how that goes for me. I’m glad things are going better for you! TV gets… boring after a while. I’m not allowed to blow my nose for 3 weeks… so be happy you can even if it tickles. did they take your stitches out? can you wash your hair yet? I am going to be so happy to wash my hair!!!

  2. I read this and I think your recovery sounds similar to mine after I had a large parotid tumor removed from under my ear. I used a boppy to help sleep on my left side. My scar is completely gone after 6 months time. I hope everything goes smoothly on Wednesday, that is very exciting!
